Kothas

Kothas is the island homeland of the minotaurs. It is dominated by two mountain ranges, the Mentash to the south and west and the Karash on the northern coast, separated by the wide, fertile plain of Kanik. Pine, oak, and the huge cedars from which the minotaurs craft their ships grow on the slopes of the mountains.

The port city of Martos on the Golden Horn bay to the western end of the island connects the August Hierarchy to the world and is the home of the great minotaur war fleet and the Navarch. The sacred temple complex at Ledros high in the Mentash mountains is the home of the Hierarch. The Polemarch and the army are headquartered in the walled city of Tiros, also home to the Great Circus.
