Goblin luau

From The Tales of Ka-Ess

The goblin luau was a celebration the Fishwives encountered following their defeat of Xipacna on Hag Island. They were taken there by a terrified goblin after they demanded to see his "Big Big Boss," who turned out to be the Mute, Illiterate Half-Orc.

Food and Drink

The goblins had prepared several roasted pigs which were served alongside cassava and pig's blood stew, fish stew, and turtle stew. Goblins really like stews.

There was also a truly awful goblin-concocted alcoholic beverage. Ardrick preferred to drink from his magical flask and offered some to the Mute, Illiterate Half-Orc, whose overindulgence resulted in emesis.

Games

A humanoid engaged in the traditional goblin fire dancing.

Fire Dancing

The goblins entertained themselves by jumping over a huge bonfire. Ka-Ess thoroughly impressed them with a fabulous acrobatic leap.

Fighting

There was a fighting area, demarcated by a ring of stones, where goblins engaged in full-contact combat based on striking, grappling and ground fighting. Most combatants lost teeth, which were quickly collected by the spectators.

Eventually, a caged gnoll was wheeled out on a cart. The Mute, Illiterate Half-Orc fought and killed the gnoll to the delight of the onlookers.

After the party

The Mute, Illiterate Half-Orc led the adventurers to a cozy hut where they rested for the night. The following morning, they awoke with hangovers from the goblin rotgut. Ilabrar presented the dagger given to him by the half-orc at the Villa Gralhund. The Mute, Illiterate Half-Orc bowed to Ilabrar, then went to pack his belongings. Ka-Ess followed and, with permission, Detected his Thoughts. Ka-Ess saw a vision of a human man in plate armor holding the dagger. The man bore an uncanny resemblance to the Mute, Illiterate Half-Orc, and his armor matched the plate worn by the literate half-orc.

The party made their goodbyes and walked on to Kronk's cave.
