Battle of Carmos Narrows: Difference between revisions

The <b>Battle of Carmos Narrows</b> was a sea battle fought between the forces of [[Freeman Mongrelborn]] and the [[Confederated Slaver Guilds]]. Mongrelborn's ragtag fleets, which had taken brutal losses against the better-outfitted and funded fleets of the Slaver Guilds, retreated to [[Carmos Narrows]], which allowed them no escape, offering the Slavers an irresistible target. Unbeknownst to the Slaver Generals, Mongrelborn's underground slave network had orchestrated a secret signal for the slave-crews of the Guild's mightiest galleons. As all seemed lost, Mongrelborn lit his own ship ablaze with a mighty fireball, signaling the crews to simultaneously mutiny. In the chaos, Mongrelborn captured the slaver capital-ship <i>Bloodied Manacle</i>, and the demoralized slave fleed soon capitulated. The <i>Manacle</i> was rechristened <i>[[The Emancipator]]</i> and served as Mongrelborn's flagship during his tenure as a [[Merchant-Prince]].
