The Duchy of Alon was a state in the northeastern region of Argonas. Its capital was the port city of Lome, where many strange and unsettling things befell the Fishwives. The people of Alon were mostly humans, though the noble families claimed descent from elven royal houses.
Alon was once an outpost of the Elven Empire. Because of its distance from the Empire, the Duke was mostly acting unilaterally as a king. The House of Alon ruled the Duchy for centuries with their capital in the city of Lome.
The most recent Duke, Albus the Ill-advised, died without an heir two years ago. No one knew who would lead the Duchy, so the city has been ruled since then by the Uneasy triumvirate.
