The Pallid Crook were a group of healers for the plagued and dying. They treated those that most healers would call lost, or too catching to treat, though the "shepherds" of The Pallid Crook never seem to catch the diseases they treated. While not everyone pulled through, more did than seem possible.

Leader

The Pallid Crook was led by Landfred Spalding, known to his acolytes as "The Illuminated," a tall (6' 6") pale human with stringy grey hair and skin that seems too tight for his boney frame. Though some swear they have seen him wander the streets at night, he mostly spends his days in his hospital, tending the sick and dying. His flock is often seen wandering the street, helping those in need. Those that seem on the verge of death often join Landfred's cause after their miraculous recovery, if they survive.

Goal

The goal of The Pallid Crook is to treat the sick and to ease the pain of the dying, all without charge. It is unclear where the money comes from, though some say that Landfred was once a count, banished from a distant land, who took stole vast sums of gold from the king upon his departure.
