Bragen the Minotaur

Bragen the Minotaur (born al'Bragen Es-Kalin), an expert sailor and mighty warrior, was the master of The Satisfied Fishwife. He met Ka-Ess when both were imprisoned on a slave ship of the dread Admiral Drax. Bragen escaped with Ka-Ess, Mute, Illiterate Half-Orc, and several others during a sahuagin attack by taking the ship's cutter. Bragen was formerly the Navarch of the August Hierarchy and the hero of the Battle of Esson, before leaving the Heirarchy under unknown circumstances.

He was tall even for a minotaur, with white fur, white horns, a missing eye, and skin riddled with scars. A renegade from the August Hierarchy, he often came into conflict with other Minotaurs, exemplified by his sudden killing of a minotaur officer in the harbor of Port Skaug. His presence on the Fishwife often attracted attacks by the Heirarchy.

At a meeting of the High Captains, Huwal, captain of The Siege of Esson, gave Ka-Ess a bronze medallion depicting a double-bladed axe on one side and a sun on the other to give to Bragen, saying "Tell the Admiral some of us remember." When Ka-Ess delivered the medallion, Bragen threw it disgustedly into the sea.
