House Nasadra was the First House of Ched Nasad

Compound

House Nasadra's manse is built into the great cav­ern's West Wall, rather than being atop the webs as most noble houses' headquarters are. Two huge stalagmite pillars serve as anchoring posts for the compound gate and also house the slave and drow commoners attached to the family. Most mem­bers of the house, including all its nobles, reside in the two-level cave complex within the wall.

The first level is a virtual maze of tunnels and small residence halls, featuring a large dining area and a training ground. The house chapel looms at the back wall, two stories high and elaborate decorated.

The upper level can be reached only through the chapel balcony or the outer balcony overlooking the Nasadra compound, and neither entrance has a staircase. The family drow use their levitation abili­ ties to reach the balconies.

The Sisters Nasadra

• Yvonell Nasadra, the matron mother of the House and, some say, the secret ruler of Ched Nasad. Yvonell is ancient and powerful. Between worlds.

• Liriel Nasadra, Yvonell's twin sister. Alive and healthy, much to the disappointment of some.

• Miralee Nasadra, Yvonell and Liriel's younger sister and wife of King Elashor Naïlo. Died in the Desolation of Nindrol.

Yvonell's Children

• Briza Nasadra, First Daughter of the House. Powerful, intimidating, impatient. Often accompanied by a striking nude woman with equally striking wings.

• Maya Nasadra, Second Daughter of the House. Nicer than her sister. Often accompanied by a strange moth-warrior of obscure origin.

• Pharaun Nasadra, a wizard with a sense of humor about others, if not himself. Often accompanied by his companion and counselor Lord Namtar, a cambion of drow origin.

• Barag Nasadra, a handsome warrior and athlete. He was not the smartest member of the house. Often accompanied by Rhialto the Marvelous, a goliath mercenary.

Other Nobles

• Zoran, Yvonell's cousin and antiquarian. He was covered in tattoos of mysterious origin and utility. A notable enthusiast of the ball game.

Retainers and Slaves

• Hamdah the Unseen, a drow shadowdancer and the House's chief assassin

• Tzirik, the new (in drow terms) patron of the house

• Tebryn, the House's weapons master and former patron. Reputed to be the best swordsman in the city. Barag's father, for those who care about such things.
