Berrian Amakiir was the last patriarch of House Amakiir. After the shadar-kai Ashok imprisoned his family in a crystal orb, Amakiir used his lifeblood to seal Ashok in the basement of his family home, Vanwamarta. When the now-abandoned Vanwamarta was granted to The Fishwives after Ka-Ess Lizardkin's investiture to the Council of High Captains, the heroes slew the shadar-kai and Ka-Ess adopted the Amakiir coat of arms for his newly-created House Manlizard.
