<b>The Lady of Currents and Tides</b> was a syncretic [[goddess]] devised by [[Ka-Ess Lizardkin]] and adopted as his patroness. [[Lizardfolk]] religion in the [[Skaugan Main]] was informal and included countless gods; introducing a new god or goddess was common practice after an individual or tribal revelation. The Lady's [[cult]] integrated aspects of the cults of [[The Mother]], [[the moon]], and [[the sea]]. Ka-Ess was also greatly affected by an encounter with a [[couatl]], and often used the [[Celestial]] feathered serpent as an avatar or icon of The Lady.
