[[Kronk]] was a cyclops who inhabited a cave on [[Hag Island]]. He was approximately twelve feet tall with gray-brown skin that camouflaged him against the rocks of his cliffside home. He wore an enormous iron chain around his neck and a loincloth of goatskin. He became a steadfast ally of [[the Fishwives]] after they performed for him various feats of magic.

This deception was supported by [[Ardrick]], who prepared a bland (but satisfying) meal of goat stew and [[Ka-Ess]] whose mind reading and pistol shots helped convince Kronk that they wielded great power.

Upon their return to the [[Ancient Tomb]], the party once again entered Kronk's lair with promises of food and conviviality. Ardrick prepared a meal of goat tikka masala, the spiciness of which at first alarmed Kronk (especially when compared to the bland goat stew), but he soon tucked in with relish. Using his skill as a cunning artisan, Ka-Ess fashioned for himself a [[wikipedia:shofar|shofar]] and for Kronk a drum; they performed together while the friends ate. After their meal, the adventurers asked Kronk to move the boulder that hid the entry to the tomb.

Has a sick staff made of a bronze colored wood inscribed with faint ruins. A large yellow gem is fixed on the top by what looks like a bronze cat’s paw.

Megron the Dragonborn, renound scimitar champion, (trained?) Cheeky for her skills with scimitar

Cheeky met Katrina the Paladin in the middle of an ocean who was also seeking the relic Cat Lord's game ball.

Grew up in a tree house south of the Port City in a small town that was known for its historical landmark of an ancient ballgame arena.

Family were dried salted fish traders. Believed in Tabaxi lore except for Cheeky's Uncle Far (from the People). Cheeky carries a runic staff given to her by her Uncle Far (from the People).

Sabo was a sort of nature spirit who guarded a grove of [[spirit-trees]], and was considered to be very wise by the local Tabaxi. While seemingly kind and slow, he was capable of killing a fire giant in single combat.

Red Island Pirates

The [[Red Island Pirates]] were the group of pirates who raided Ardrick Blackstone's monastery and made off with several magical adepts and the [[Eye of Kord]]. These pirates use [[silver collar|magical slaver's collars]] to bind adepts to their will and use them as weather witches on their ships. People forced to wear the collar find that they cannot use magic except at the will of their masters. Not much is known about these pirates besides their use of the slavers collars and that they fly a flag bearing a cuttlefish wearing a crown of stars.

The [[Fishwives]] met this really big whale while traversing the seas near [[Lome]]. It was really big.

The really big whale was capable of speech and magic.

Later, the Fishwives encountered a whaling ship near [[Port Skaug]] which was pursuing the really big whale. They sent it in the opposite direction of the really big whale.

Some dolphins also mentioned that really big whales were diving unusually deep and working some strange magic, but that's probably nothing.

The really big whale's name may have been Kraken-Bane.

Alon was once an outpost of the [[Elven Empire]]. Because of its distance from the Empire, the Duke was mostly acting unilaterally as a king. The House of Alon ruled the Duchy for centuries with their capital in the city of Lome.

The most recent Duke, [[Albus the Ill-advised]], died without an heir two years ago. No one knew who would lead the Duchy, so the city has been ruled since then by the [[Uneasy triumvirate]].

[[Tabaxi]] (/tɑːˈbæksi/ ta-BÆK-see or /tɑːˈbɑːʃi/ ta-BAHSH-ee), also known as jaguar people or cat-folk, were a race of feline humanoids native to the jungles of Maztica.

Tabaxi were taller than most humans at six to seven feet. Their bodies were slender and covered in spotted or striped fur. Like most felines, Tabaxi had long tails and retractable claws. Tabaxi fur color ranged from light yellow to brownish red. Tabaxi eyes were slit-pupilled and usually green or yellow.

Tabaxi were competent swimmers and climbers as well as speedy runners. They had good balance and an acute sense of smell.

== Personality ==
Tabaxi were a reclusive people who often avoided interaction with other intelligent races. Some had an innate curiosity that compelled them to travel and seek out stories, artifacts, new experiences and knowledge, never remaining in the same place or obsessing over the same piece of lore for too long.

== Society ==
Tabaxi society was built around clans. Clans were split evenly between males and females with 3 to 12 young. Each clan had several Hunts each made up of two to eight individuals. The Hunts patrolled the area around the clan's lair.

Although tabaxi lairs were sometimes just temporary, they were more often small villages of ramadas. Each ramada was built from wooden poles with grass roofs.

Clans were led by elders. About half of the time, leaders were aided by shamans. Clans tended to avoid each other and did not engage in trade. Tabaxi considered trade to be demeaning but in rare instances would use third party agents to trade for them.

When the tabaxi started wandering out of their homeland of Maztica, rumors followed about strange happenings there, but the tabaxi themselves said little about them.

The creator figure in the tabaxi pantheon was the [[Cat Lord]], a fickle and tricky entity who bestowed each tabaxi with a specific feline trait and was believed to wander the world, watching over them.

Tabaxi had few enemies, and only the most degenerate clans would attack members of other intelligent species without good reason.

== Threats ==
Tabaxi were sometimes hunted for their pelts. Each pelt could be sold for up to 50 gp. Hishna shapers could use tabaxi skin and claws to enhance their strength. Young tabaxi could be sold on the black market for around 225 gp.

Criticized by poetic authorities as grandiloquent, longwinded, grandiose, and delusional, Ka-Ess' excruciatingly detailed accounts of his own minutiae nevertheless have afforded historians insight into daily life in the [[Skaugan Main]] during the [[third century Valanthe]].

Despite the work's questionable artistic merit, The Tales of Ka-Ess are of interest to historians for their depictions not only of Ka-Ess himself, a minor political figure in the Skaugan navy, but his [[The Fishwives|various companions]], many of whom were notable historical figures in their own right. The works included in The Tales of Ka-Ess take many forms, including formal rhyming and alliterative poetry, scholarly entries, journals, notes, [[Draconic]] hieroglyphics and obscene pictograms. Most historians and philologists believe that the varied nature of its contents suggests that the original codex was assembled from fragments rather than written as one unified narrative. [[Hag Island]] is an island midway between [[Port Skaug]] to the north and [[Port Nyanzaru]] to the south. It was formerly protected by a magic wind which dissipated following the eponymous [[The Hag|Hag's]] defeat by [[The Fishwives]]. After slaying the hag, they assisted the [[Marquis de Rothshyr]] in forming an [[halfling encampment|encampment]] to house [[Halfling refugee crisis|Orlanian refugees]].

The history of the island was shrouded in mystery. There were no records of it until fairly recently [when?], despite its central location on the sea trade routes. The hag was clearly not its first inhabitant - several ancient ruins from different cultures were discovered by the Fishwives in their explorations.

The island's most notable features were its religious structures, which were connected by a series of tunnels to form a large temple complex. [[The Fishwives]] plumbed this complex in [[218 V.II]] [[Dolorianian Regnal Calendar|DRC]], slaying various unholy and extraplanar monstrosities including the serpent-vampire [[Xipacna]] and an [[aboleth]] claiming to be the avatar of an ancient [[god]] of the [[Far Realm]].

Nindrol was founded by the semi-legendary sorcerer-chieftain [[Elathor of the Black Wind]], who helped drive the then-pervasive [[sahuagin]] from the Skaugan seas to some other realm. He is said to have grown the coral palace from the seafloor in a single day.

=== Era of Prosperity ===
Owing to its location between [[Gazetteer#Argonas|Argonas]] and [[Gazetteer#Hinazka|Hinazka]], the kingdom prospered as a trading post. The end of the kingdom's prosperity began with the mysterious disappearance of [[Amnestria the Dragonslayer|Queen Amnestria "the Dragonslayer" Naïlo]]. [[Mourn the Oathbreaker|King Mourn "The Oathbreaker" Naïlo]] inherited the throne after Queen Amnestria.

Early in King Mourn's reign a great plague ravaged the kingdom. Though elves are known for their resistance to disease, the kingdom was decimated, leading some to conclude that the disease was caused by evil magic. It is said that King Mourn made a pact with a dark power in an attempt to contain the infection; this was likely the cause of his madness. He began to rely on demonic servitors, bound to him by some fell magic, to enforce his rule.

In an attempt to take control of the kingdom and depose the mad king, King Mourn's brother, [[Elashor the Ceremonious|Elashor "The Ceremonious" Naïlo]], waged a civil war against The Oathbreaker. Many of the mightiest sea elven warriors and mages were killed in the battles. To counter The Oathbreaker's undead and fiendish allies, then-Prince Elashor arranged a marriage with [[Miralee Nasadra]], a scion of the powerful drow [[House Nasadra]] of [[Ched Nasad]]. Meera's sisters led a force of drow mages and assassins who managed to help turn the tide of the war and allow Elashor to force The Oathbreaker to battle outside the walls of Nindrol.

The brothers met in single combat, Elashor wielding his dowry, the magic sword [[Airëmacil]] ("sea-blade"), and The Oathbreaker fighting with the terrible black trident [[Raiafae]] ("fisher of souls"). Elashor prevailed but took a terrible wound that never fully healed, despite the best efforts of the sea elven clerics and doctors.

After the death of Countess Mila Amastica in the fortress city of [[Noctvos]], seat of [[County of Malon]] in the [[Duchy of Alon]], [[Ilabrar]] recovered what at first glance appeared to be an astronomical chart, but was actually a topographical map of a coral reef.

It depicted a crescent-shaped island and an entrance into Nindrol.
