A common "sport" played in the Dwarven Fishing Village of Blackstone. Children would compete with each other to see who could repair the most fishing nets in a day. The winning child got an extra stout of ale in their daily rations. Years later at the Monastery Ardrick realized this game, along with competitive rock hauling and competitive fish cleaning, were really just thinly disguised child labor rackets.

Ardrick was raised in a coastal village of Black Stone Cove. It was predominantly a fishing village, although there was also a trading market where locals would sell figurines and tools made out of the famous local obsidian. The cove itself was lined with obsidian. This unique stone brought many Dwarven families to the region. Some say it was the mouth of an extinct volcano, others that it was made by an angry dragon’s breath. His family had a fishing boat, which was enough to make them prosperous and comfortable. Ardrick was going to follow in his sibling’s and father’s footsteps and learn the fishing trade. However, around his 16th birthday a procession of priests came through the town and as was tradition they tested every child that was of age. When they handed me the [[Eye of Kord]] it glowed and crackled with lightning energy. Ardrick was taken to the local temple and from then on was trained as a cleric of Kord.

The morning after a monastic holiday, (read that as drunken party) pirates raided the monastery. Naturally the monks and clerics were hungover from the night before and not fighting at their best. In a lightning fast raid the pirates stormed the temple and while they never breached the inner sanctums, they did make off with several clergy and other supplies. Slaves were taken with the aid of magical slaver's collars which can bind even the strongest adepts. Aside from the cost of life, the most notable item stolen was the [[Eye of Kord]] as it had been out of the inner sanctum as part of the festivities.

While Ardrick did not know who they were the pirates flew the flag of a [[Red Island Pirates|cuttlefish wearing a crown of stars]]. That flag and the existence of the magic collars are his only clues for tracking down these pirates and rescuing his stolen brethren.

One night, drinking at [[The Wayward Lobster]] he met [[Ka-Ess]] and [[Ilabrar Nightbreeze]] who convinced him to take to the sea in search of more information.

While in hell our heroes at a several course meal in the tent of the Rakshasa Madi. The first course was an appetizer made of unicorn meat. It tasted of pepper and regret. It was followed by an act of "entertainment". A human came out and sliced himself to pieces for the crowd's enjoyment. Next was a course of dishes made entirely of creatures who were the last of the species. It was strangely delicious. Another act of entertainment took place where a spike bed was brought out like you would see in a laying on nails act, only this time the human laid on the spikes when they then grew through them. The rather kinky gnome put on a show where he became a living chandelier. The silent halfling in a cage sang. It was a humming chant that sent all who listened to it into a hallucinogenic trance. We lived the lives of teh creatures we just ate.

A group of elves came to dance for the tent. The movements became more frantic and unnatural as they twisted their bodies until broken and contorted. Bone snapping, joints popping, and cartilage ripping. They crawled off the stage broken forms of their once beautiful nature.

Her ship is the Knotty Hooker. The crew is a diverse bunch as she will take anyone who can follow her rules. Everyone fights, nobody quits.

While she started off as a pirate and earned a reputation for her ferocity, she learned later in life that she could make more capitalizing on her reputation than actually plundering. She now runs a small fleet of ships who provide escorts for merchant ships. (Taking a percentage of gross profits from the ships she escorts) No one wants to challenge a ship under her protection. It’s a cushy and lucrative job.

One of her more notorious exploits was during the height of her piracy days. Caught in a trap Her ship took on three minotaur Warships and won. After that people realized it was easier to hire her than fight her.

She hates insincerity And people who do not speak their mind. The more prim and proper members of the council get on her nerves, especially as they hide behind diplomacy and fancy words to get their way. She is a very direct and flamboyant person. Loves a good party.

The Eye of Kord is a diamond that has been fixed on top of a lightning burned oak staff. It was the relic the monks took around the island to test potential adepts.

The gem glows when the staff is held and looks as if there is lightning jumping from facet to facet inside the gem. Looking into it people are sometimes given a glimpse of their future, but the visions are hard to keep in one’s mind and often fade. It is said that Eye of Kord can be used in ritual magic to greatly amplify weather spells, but Ardrick hasn’t seen that himself.

The Eye of Kord was one of the items stolen from the monastery the night a group of pirates flying the flag of a cuttlefish wearing a crown of stars attacked. Without the staff and Eye the monks are unable to take on new adepts into the monastery.

Ardrick was raised in a coastal village of Black Stone Cove. It was predominantly a fishing village, although there was also a trading market where locals would sell figurines and tools made out of the famous local obsidian. The cove itself was lined with obsidian. This unique stone brought many Dwarven families to the region. Some say it was the mouth of an extinct volcano, others that it was made by an angry dragon’s breath. His family had a fishing boat, which was enough to make them prosperous and comfortable. Ardrick was going to follow in his sibling’s and father’s footsteps and learn the fishing trade. However, around his 16th birthday a procession of priests came through the town and as was tradition they tested every child that was of age. When they handed me the [[Eye of Kord]] it glowed and crackled with lightning energy. I was taken to the local temple and from then on I was trained as a cleric of Kord.

[[The Neglected Fishwife]] was a cutter in the [[Skaugan Main]] during the rule of the [[Council of High Captains]]. It reached the height of its fame after being liberated from a minor pirate captain by [[Ka-Ess Lizardkin]], the notorious [[bard]].

Flying the flag of the elvish empire, it is a dark blue vessel with gold trim.
