Elves

Elves are sapient, bipedal mammals. Many elves place great importance on the "purity" of their race, and ethnocentrist and imperialist beliefs are common in Elven cultures. During the time of the Fishwives, most elves lived within The Empire of Doloriane, the largest Elven state.

Moon Elves

The Moon Elves are the most common subspecies of Elf, accounting for the bulk of The Empire of Doloriane's population. An ancient race with a long literary, cultural and magical history, many Moon Elves consider their society to be the peak of elfoid achievement.

Sea Elves

The Sea Elves of the Skaugan Main, unlike their terrestrial cousins, have developed the ability to breathe underwater without magical assistance. Their society is less formal and more nomadic than that of the Moon Elves, who sometimes consider Sea Elves to be "savages."

Drow

Drow, or "Dark Elves," are a subterranean race of elves which make their home in the Underdark.

Half-Elves

Elves are closely related to and capable of reproducing with humans and some other humanoids. The offspring of such a union is often considered "inferior" by mainstream Elven culture.
