Ruby necklace

The ruby necklace, one of the glowing gems, was worn by Marquis de Rothshyr.

Acquisition by the Fishwives

The Marquis tasked the Fishwives with retrieving the necklace after midnight from a small, sheltered cove near the White Zone, Port Skaug's dockside district. Fearing treachery from within his own ranks, the Marquis himself was elsewhere at the time. Ardrick, Ilabrar, Ka-Ess, and Sathul went to the cove as directed and encountered two (humanoids?) rowing a small boat ashore. When the boat was twenty yards from the beach, it was attacked by sea zombies who killed the rowers. The zombies were dispatched by the adventurers and burned under cover of Sathul's magical darkness.

The ruby was contained in a nondescript, but professionally made wooden box. When Ilabrar neared the box, both the ruby and his blue pearl ring glowed.

The Fishwives delivered the ruby to the Marquis the following day. Sathul asked to keep the wooden box for no specific reason, and his request was granted.
