Pseudo-Ka-Ess
Pseudo-Ka-Ess (or the Ka-Ess editor) is the name used by academics to refer to the anonymous scholar who edited and compiled the first edition of the Tales of Ka-Ess. At the time of Ka-Ess von Manlizard's unsettling demise, his works had not been catalogued or organized for publication. Historians are divided as to whether the Ka-Ess editor merely prepared these works for publication or if he made significant modifications to the poems and histories included in the Tales. Although the Ka-Ess editor arranged its components in roughly chronological order, the fragmented and varied nature of the narrative suggests that the elements of The Tales of Ka-Ess were not originally intended to be read as one unified work.
