Madi the Rakshasa is the proprietor of the Wandering Emporium, a strange and frightening bazaar in the hellish waste of Avernus

He invited the Fishwives to a strange and unsettling Dinner in Hell, where he answered some questions and raised many more. Of note:

  • He revealed to Cheeky that the Cat Lord once stole from him a magical knife, and that while he could not read the runes the staff (indeed, no magic could), she might find answers back in the Enchanted Coast.
  • He revealed to Ilabrar that his title might be in jeopardy, though did not go into more detail.
  • He mentioned to Ardrick that the glowing gems were of interest in some sort of game, though he was hesitant to reveal more. He mentioned something too about closers and openers.
  • He and Sathul engaged in an animated discussion of various meats that, frankly, the author is unwilling to contemplate.
